Joseph, often called "Joseph the Dreamer," is a central figure in the biblical Book of Genesis. He was the eleventh son of Jacob and the first son of Rachel. Joseph is renowned for his vivid and prophetic dreams, which foretold his rise to prominence. These dreams, however, sparked jealousy and hatred among his brothers.

Out of envy, his brothers sold him into slavery, and he was taken to Egypt. Despite his hardships, Joseph's ability to interpret dreams earned him favor. He interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh, predicting seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. This foresight enabled Egypt to prepare and save many lives.

Joseph's story is one of resilience and forgiveness. After rising to power as Pharaoh's advisor, he encountered his brothers again when they came to Egypt seeking food.
